Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) Services

Customers can turn their pencil-drawings into three-dimensional (3D) digital renderings by using our CAD services. Then convert 3D-digital models to various formats, such as STL, 3MF, and USD to name a few. Once customers have their 3D-digital models, they can take advantage of our 3D-printing technologies and modern milling-machine services.

3D-Pinting Services

Customer’s computer-aided-designs can be converted into polymer 3D-printed objects. Our low-cost and rapid prototyping of complex 3D-modeled geometries allows our customers to quickly test their designs in the laboratory. Modeled geometries can be designed to support stationary substrates, conduits for liquids or gases, coupling shafts, and access panels with bolts and seals that can be tailored to specific experimental applications. With a range of polymer resins and filaments to choose from, customer printed components can be resistant to a variety of acid-base solutions and organic solvents at modest temperatures. At Pelican Nanotechnologies, we understand costumer’s research and development needs and can provide problem solving solutions to a variety of disciplines.

Modern Milling-Machine Services

Create the prototype parts that you need with our modern milling-machine services. Modern milling-machines use computer-numerical-control (CNC) capabilities to operate semi-automatically. A computer-aided-design from a customer can be used to create a 3D-model of designed parts. Then through computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) software machine simulations and operations for muti-axis setups allow CNC mills to cut pre-designed parts. Our current capabilities allow us to mill materials like aluminum, brass and a variety of polymers. We focus on small parts that can be used to couple polymeric, ceramic or metallic films to larger and more complex systems.

Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) Membrane Services

Our customers can select from a variety of anodization techniques to obtain the desired pore-size and thickness for their AAO membranes. Our unique manufacturing processes can help customers tailor their AAO membranes to specific geometric dimensions. AAO membranes can be custom-made for spectroscopy applications, using a variety of sample support modules. Support module customization can be achieved through our 3D-printing services or modern milling-machine services.
